There is more to it than the libraries both companies create. FB has facilitated various societal issues (surveillance advertising, conspiracy theory spreading/radicalization, depression in younger users, etc.), but Apple for the most part just builds products people enjoy. To some (most?) the software projects produced are a secondary consideration.
