That this is even possible shows that ICANN is not reliable enough for a global internet naming authority. I think the solution will ultimately be blockchain-based systems like ENS.

- CryptoPunk 5y agoThere are blockchains with low energy consumption profiles. Ethereum for its part is turning off energy-intensive PoW around July this year, to rely solely on its energy efficient PoS Beacon Chain for consensus.
