But that's not how the world actually works. We aren't playing a game of pretend, we're playing a game where generational wealth can afford a good lawyer and get you out of a jam when your young and do something stupid. A world where a good education is bought by your parents by sending you to a private school. A world where networking in an ivy league school (most likely paid for by your parents) can make networking connections with the most influential and rich people in the world.
Conversely, Living paycheck to paycheck changes the way your brain works. Having to worry about where your next meal is going to come from, or if your going to have a place to live in a month really fucks with you. Money buys better health outcomes, and if you don't have the money, you don't have the better health outcomes. It doesn't sound like you understand this.
I know, I've lived both sides.
And yeah they are desperate to make that point because most people born with a silver spoon in their mouth don't realize the privilege they have, or the value of what they've been lucky enough to be given. Sound familiar?
