I strongly disagree. If they are indeed giving coverage to companies that do not deserve to be covered then that calls into question their credibility entirely.

- jen_h 15y agoBut how does a pushy email from a founder prove this in any way? Doesn't call TechCrunch's credibility into question at all. (Also, check the update on the original article--the email was apparently sent to VB, not an accidental TC misaddress.)
- rhizome 15y agoThen again, most of the world is an old-boys club where credibility is secondary to social capital.
