Not all of us are anti cryptocurrency technology, per se. But “Crypto”, as a cultural context in which most of these discussions happen, is a pyramid scheme targeting ignorance. Or, in the more charitable cases, it’s a risky Forex gamble. I can be happy for the existence of a (mostly) decentralized currency without rah-rahing the bullshit of “Crypto” as a get rich quick scheme. And I can be worried that Cryptobros will fuck it up for the rest of us by attracting the wrong kind of attention.
