They are pipelines that exist on different continents, with one traveling over home-soil and cancelled due to environmental reasons while the other was temporarily blocked due to political sanctions.
- TrispusAttucks 5y agoBiden said he cancelled the project to fight climate change. So let's break this down... We imported record levels of oil from Russia in 2021. Instead of getting it locally it was shipped to the United States from overseas using tankers burning fossil fuel! That's insane. A five year old could spot the problem. The rhetoric doesn't match reality or common sense. When you burn fossil fuels from Russia it creates the same global GHG as oil from North America. If you burn oil to get it here it's worse for climate change. None of it makes any sense.
