I hope there is still some way to negotiate a peace. It could be the case that Putin is a madman but I also believe that he was forced into this because of what he _PERCEIVED_ is NATO aggression (like putting missiles in Cuba). We've been poking the bear for sometime with no disregard for consequences. If there is way to get him to quit gracefully that would be great. I mean it's not right to accede to Putin's every whim but at the same time to be dismissive of him all the time because of our arrogance is bad too. I could be completely wrong too but there is so much we don't know. Let's not be gung ho again about piling up on him and make him a cornered animal. No one is winning right now.
