You dont end a war by adding to it.
- msie 5y agoI hope there is still some way to negotiate a peace. It could be the case that Putin is a madman but I also believe that he was forced into this because of what he _PERCEIVED_ is NATO aggression (like putting missiles in Cuba). We've been poking the bear for sometime with no disregard for consequences. If there is way to get him to quit gracefully that would be great. I mean it's not right to accede to Putin's every whim but at the same time to be dismissive of him all the time because of our arrogance is bad too. I could be completely wrong too but there is so much we don't know. Let's not be gung ho again about piling up on him and make him a cornered animal. No one is winning right now.

China has all the factories and a standing army of like 600 million. If China wished, they could probably do significant expansion. But at what cost? To what benefit? We as a species has discovered that war is pointless. You can simply buy everything you ever wanted at much lower cost. The cost of the war properly invested in yourself will set you ahead far more than what a war will bring.
