FYI, the war in Ukraine has been ongoing since 2014. You care more about the current developments because the media you follow care more about it. Unless you live in the region, there is nothing you can do about it and it is unlikely to have any effect on your day-to-day life, so turn off the news and focus on things you actually have leverage on. Me? I never cared about that war and I still don't, just like I don't care about any of the currently ongoing wars (Yemen, Syria, whatever). Not following the news makes life generally less unpleasant.
