If someone is interested in this PC scope due to space rather than sub-$100 price tag, I've had a great experience with the Digilent Analog Discovery. Disclaimer - I'm not an Electrical Engineer, so YMMV; I got mine at a significant discount ages ago, not sure if it's price competitive these days.
- kevin_thibedeau 5y agoThe lack of a shielded, controlled impedance signal path makes such things more of a toy.
- chadcmulligan 5y agoYou could use them for fault finding audio, or debugging industrial controllers, maybe even some low frequency (1 or 2 Mhz) digital design.
- rramadass 5y agoAre you referring to the flywire signal cable which is standard in the box? If so, there is a separate BNC Adapter board available (I use my AD2 with this only).
- kevin_thibedeau 5y agoThe BNC adapter doesn't do anything to protect SI. You would need shielded cans and special connectors for it to have a prayer at doing anything to protect from noise and distortion.
