Am I alone in hating cloud software?
You gotta wait for the service to come back online, you lose a bunch of screen real estate, the context menu is slow and unpredictable.
Obviously there is benefits, but couldn't networking be easily built into desktop apps as well?
- paxys 5y agoWhat is "cloud software"? I use Office 365 and it doesn't have any of the problems that you describe.
- GekkePrutser 5y agoThe desktop version of O365 isn't really cloud software. It doesn't run in the cloud, it just stores its files there if you choose to do so, and checks it's licences there. The web version is, but it does have a lot of drawbacks.
