Actual hard-core off-roaders aren't driving super-expensive rigs; they're in crapcan K5 Blazers, Suzuki Samurais, old but built jeeps, tube frame customs, and side-by-sides. $40k in a SxS will get you about what a jeep would for 2x that money. Don't even get me started on the bro dozer poser trucks. Those just exist to intimidate other people on the road, and with bumpers so high and tires + ground clearance that could easily run over something like a Corvette, they shouldn't be allowed on public roads.
