"Despite its 3D appearance, this interface is 100% hand painted in Adobe Photoshop 5.0 using the airbrush tool. No plugins of any kind were used. All shading and highlights are carefully applied by hand. Although very time consuming, this method affords the artist greater control as opposed to letting the computer decide how it should look. ;)" Photoshop 5 came out in 1998, so this maybe 25 years old.
