Good. I hope other NATO nations follow suit and increase their spending to the 2% target. Military spending gets a bad rap (sometimes rightly so) but it can go to improving the conditions and readiness of troops without just unjustly enriching defence businesses which seems to be everyone's concern. (My bigger concern would be growing the administrative ranks preferentially to better funding for actual soldiers). We tend to treat our servicemen/women very badly most of the time, then place huge expectations on them when we need them. More spending is good, we just need to be smart about it
