What data are you seeing that is showing crypto’s dying off?
- Retric 5y agoNumber of new startups, news, coins, and conversations people have about it.
- CyberDildonics 5y agoEven by the standards of someone on a forum commenting on what they want to be reality instead of actual reality this is a ridiculous statement.
- Retric 5y agoThe decline in the number of crypto coin startups is objective fact. NFT’s being the new hotness right now.
- CyberDildonics 5y agoSomeone already linked you evidence that this isn't true. https://www.cbinsights.com/research/report/blockchain-trends-2021/ https://www.cbinsights.com/research/report/blockchain-trends... That shows over 700% growth and your excuse is that everything is going down except for NFTs? Meanwhile you haven't linked anything to back up your claims.
- Retric 5y agoSo you don’t actually link to the evidence showing the number of crypto coin companies increasing, and you even quote a different number includes NFT’s and other non crypto coin companies. Clearly that isn’t a refutation.
- CyberDildonics 5y agoThat graphics shows 22 billion in cryptocurrency investments and 4 billion in NFT investments. You keep saying it's going down and you still haven't given any evidence of that or explained why you think that. Saying the same thing over and over more forcefully is not evidence. What is asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence.
- Retric 5y agoI clearly said one of the reasons was the number of crypto coin startups had gone down. I got several responses in terms of investments which is really evidence of it’s own sort. Of note, I didn’t refer to the ROI from holding coins which is way down. I suggest it take a second and consider why I didn’t make that argument.
- CyberDildonics 5y agoNot only are you shifting goal posts but you still haven't linked anything. You just keep saying that despite those graphs being up over 700%, somehow this stat you chose and haven't sourced is down. You haven't explained in any way why you think that but you keep saying it over and over.
- Retric 5y agoSo, I shifted goal posts by saying the exact same thing repeatedly. While you really want to quote an irrelevant statistic even after acknowledging it’s irrelevant. Wow, that’s just perfect. Do you mind if I share this thread?
- CyberDildonics 5y agocryptocurrency seems to be dying off This is your claim with no evidence, no source and no explanation. This could not possibly be more ridiculous. Any search you do produces an avalanche of links that directly contradict what you are saying. Your sources of absolutely nothing are not very convincing. Is this a joke? This is like someone getting soaked in a flash flood while claiming it isn't raining. I've never seen anyone deny reality this hard, even here. https://www.nytimes.com/2021/12/20/technology/silicon-valley-cryptocurrency-start-ups.html https://www.nytimes.com/2021/12/20/technology/silicon-valley... https://www.paymentsdive.com/news/blockchain-startups-landed-record-25b-in-2021/618209/ https://www.paymentsdive.com/news/blockchain-startups-landed... https://originstamp.com/blog/top-blockchain-startups-to-watch/ https://originstamp.com/blog/top-blockchain-startups-to-watc... https://www.cnbc.com/2022/02/02/crypto-start-ups-raised-huge-venture-funding-rounds-in-january.html https://www.cnbc.com/2022/02/02/crypto-start-ups-raised-huge... https://www.institutionalinvestor.com/article/b1w6r1v3pjg15s/Where-Did-VC-Money-Go-in-2021-Crypto-Startups https://www.institutionalinvestor.com/article/b1w6r1v3pjg15s... https://bitcoinke.io/2022/02/crypto-startups-in-january-2022/ https://bitcoinke.io/2022/02/crypto-startups-in-january-2022... https://blockworks.co/report-vcs-invested-33b-in-crypto-and-blockchain-startups-in-2021/ https://blockworks.co/report-vcs-invested-33b-in-crypto-and-... https://fortune.com/2021/12/01/investors-fund-crypto-startups-us-china/ https://fortune.com/2021/12/01/investors-fund-crypto-startup... https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2022-02-01/new-york-leads-crypto-vc-funding-race-over-silicon-valley https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2022-02-01/new-york-... https://news.crunchbase.com/news/private-crypto-vc-funding-unicorns/ https://news.crunchbase.com/news/private-crypto-vc-funding-u...
- Dwolb 5y agoFwiw crypto start-up funding was at an all time high in 2021. https://www.cbinsights.com/research/report/blockchain-trends-2021/ https://www.cbinsights.com/research/report/blockchain-trends... That’s why I was curious about which data you’re basing the statement on. Was wondering if it was wallets, inflows, etc.
- Retric 5y agoThat’s counting blockchain companies including NFT’s, actual crypto coin startups are down as people move onto NFT’s. If you’re unclear, coins are supposed to be fungible where NFT’s shouldn’t be.
