Shit take. Many western nations have strong ties to Ukraine through historical waves of immigration, and in the case of Poland, they are neighbours with a similar way of life and language. Plus Ukrainians are taking a stand to defend their democracy, whereas Afghanistan made no such effort. Also, the west went above and beyond wrt Syria, but Putin obviously won that one.
