I hate word "conflict" here. It's a war.
- tobr 5y agoAlso unfortunate that it keeps being called a “Ukraine” conflict, completely leaving out the aggressor.
- politician 5y agoOne conclusion is that Avast has Russian interests that they are unwilling to upset.
- VoodooJuJu 5y agoReminds me of this: "Who Owns My Name? | Hacker News." 27 Feb. 2022, news.ycombinator.com/item?id=28007547. It's always "The Amanda Knox" story, never mentioning the actual convicted perpetrator's name, Rude Guede.
- dmurray 5y agoIt's taking place in Ukraine. We speak of the Vietnam War, the Iraq War (or "the Gulf War"), the Crimean War without making any implications about who the aggressor is or what other powers got involved.
- jka 5y agoSuggestion / reminder: aggressors, plural (because Belarus is participating; I'm not yet sure what term to use to describe the events, but it's not pleasant).
