With what energy?

With the energy it would have had if it wouldn't have given into the clueless Greens and shut down nuclear many years too early. There are major consequences to every vote and policy. People need to learn this and not vote on idealistic feelings.

  The greens were not in power whe Merkel decided this. We also did not should down all of them. And we still have energy. My flat is warm. The Russian gas only makes 20-30%. I'm totally lost on this weird rethoric. And the greens, now in power, will startup the renewable push, see what habeck said and already is doing. CSU/CDU started it but didn't push through.

  That was a decision made by CDU and FPD, the greens were not in the government at the time. Germany also added twice the amount of renewables than it ever had in nuclear power. And that is despite the heavy hits against the industry that the late Merkel governments landed, after boosting them for a while in the early ones. After 16 years of CDU being in charge, yelling at the greens about today's situation is not just ignorant, it's a fake news attack on democracy.

    It's wrong but not an attack on democracy. Modern environmentalism is a big astroturfing campaign. It pretends to be a grass-roots movement with little girls at their front. In reality it is backed by billionaires who do not want their private islands to sink (metaphorically and literally).

      Ah, yes! The weak environmentalists are ACTUALLY in charge, so they are the REAL problem, let’s just ignore that fossil fuel companies have been fighting against science for decades… How about providing some evidence that environmentalists are astroturfed by island owning billionaires…?

        Just dig a little the backgrounds of key activists, the institutions that back them or where they get to speak. These are not exactly middle, underclass or grassroots institutions, but multinational orgs, banks and media monopolies.
