I think invading a country is an escalation. It's also business logic 101 to have alternatives. NATO's reason to exist is literally because of Russian threat.

- zx85wes 5y agoI agree with all of that. And the troop buildup had already happened back then. But the current invasion deeper into Ukraine hadn't.
