You mean rebranding to Accenture?
- sofixa 5y agoThe original auditing company is no more, only the consulting branch, which was mostly separate by that time, lives in Accenture.
- dagw 5y agoAccenture was Andresen Consulting, not Arthur Andersen. They'd been operating independently (to the point they where often competing against each other for the same projects, and where pretty bitter rivals) for over a decade before AA collapsed. In fact the name change was the result of a lawsuit between Arthur Andersen and Andersen Consulting over royalty payments resulting in AA refusing to let AC continue to use the Andersen name
- mistrial9 5y agofact check! please refer here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arthur_Andersen https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arthur_Andersen your rewritten response is appreciated, for the record
- dagw 5y agoFrom your link: "In 1989, Arthur Andersen and Andersen Consulting became separate units" "The two businesses spent most of the 1990s in a bitter dispute." "In August 2000, at the conclusion of International Chamber of Commerce arbitration of the dispute, the arbitrators granted Andersen Consulting its independence from Arthur Andersen" "As a result, Andersen Consulting changed its name to Accenture"
- mistrial9 5y ago> .. Accenture was s/Andresen/Andersen/ Consulting, not Arthur Andersen
- HNHatesUsers 5y agoThe most fortunate rebranding ever, after the Enron fiasco destroyed Arthur Andersen.
