It's as if AMD has nowhere better to invest it in, or they making a financial engineering play.
- rasz 5y agoMore like a suicide. AMD has a history of being terrible with money and stocks. Bought ATI for cash instead of stock swap when they needed money the most, did stock deal with Xilinx when stock was all time high, now this.
- mgh2 5y agoHow is this different than Apple?
- yyyk 5y agoApple and AMD aren't even in the same scale? Apple truly has more money than it can count. AMD should have had something useful to invest it to slightly match Intel's recent investments. I find it bewildering AMD could not find anything more useful.
