Show HN: npx pompoms – pretty and simple terminal Pomodoro

• MonxK6PY7 5y ago
I decided that I wanted to type 'npx something' into the terminal to get up a Pomodoro timer and could not find something to suit my needs (minimal friction). Once the mood sets in for a long grind I just want to be able to set the Pomodoro timer up immediately and as a javascript developer, I always have npm to hand. Hopefully others find it useful :). npx pompoms (because pompom was taken!)

good example of a nice easy to understand script! await welcomeMessage(); await getOptions(); await readyMessage(); await pomodoroLoop(); https://github.com/jacksbrand/pompoms/blob/9fa9ba582f4b7f8236e35ac64fb3cb5b63d77823/index.js#L243 https://github.com/jacksbrand/pompoms/blob/9fa9ba582f4b7f823...

Thanks rektide - Having just awoken from my caffeine blighted sleep after a caffeine carried coding session, I am compelled to tidy it up further! But I am pleased to see that past me made at least some attempt at keeping it neat! (for such a short script).
