Russian Offensive Campaign Assessment, Feb 25, 2022
- vondur 5y agoIf Russian forces are already entering Kyiv at this point, I’m thinking it will be a quick war.
- dragonwriter 5y ago> If Russian forces are already entering Kyiv at this point, I’m thinking it will be a quick war. How long did the Iraq War continue after US forces entered Baghdad? Afghanistan after US (or USSR, take your pick) entered Kabul?
- vondur 5y agoI suppose we will see. I don’t know if the people of Ukraine are willing to put up that much of a fight over Russian occupation.
- jka 5y agoHere's the earliest copy (2020) of the "Who We Are" page from the source domain available on the Internet Archive: https://web.archive.org/web/20200405160640/https://www.iswresearch.org/p/who-we-are.html https://web.archive.org/web/20200405160640/https://www.iswre... The copyright notice on the page dates back a little further, to 2018. - axiosgunnar 5y agoMeaning?
- jka 5y agoAn attempt to share some facts for the future to look back on, not really relevant for today's conversation.
- credit_guy 5y agoI don't get it. You are saying these guys should not be trusted? Are they biased towards Russia, or towards Ukraine? Or what? And why?
- jka 5y agoHey, thanks for asking. I'm an open book - can you explain why those questions sprang to mind? All I intend to provide is observations.
- EliRivers 5y agoThere are an infinity of observations to be made about anything. Are yours random, or guided? Why did you observe that in particular, rather than anything else in the infinite range of things to observe?
- jka 5y agoWhat difference does it make? :)
- dredmorbius 5y agoContext and background are relevant. Being gratuitously evasive in response to questions is at best annoying. If you can provide context do. If you don't know, state as much. Don't be obnoxious.

- aluminum96 5y agoAlthough Russia has made significant progress into the interior of the country, it's with quite a few more setbacks than I expected. They can't be happy about the extensive fighting over Gostomel airfield, in what should have been an overwhelming victory against a much smaller force.
- robwwilliams 5y agoMost useful summary of Russian invasion and Ukrainian defense I have seen in last two days. Map also appreciated. If Kiev falls where will Free Ukraine build its bastion? Sub-Carpathian plains and city of Uzhhorod adjacent to Slovenia looks defensible and could be well supplied by West. Short jump south west if Lviv.
