Blocking Russian videos could be cost savings.

So it looks like they've finally pulled out the big guns and hit them where it hurts. So to speak.
version_five 5y ago
Are there major proxy server providers that will need to do the same thing for blocking like this to matter?
jimbob45 5y ago
I know this seems stupid but if you ban this, League of Legends, Netflix, and a few others, I feel that you might truly impact public opinion.

You it would impact public opinion if the public were Americans. Not in Russia though because Putin is a dictator and has been in power for 18 years and doesn’t care what Russians think of him.
  - kennedywm 5y ago
Public opinion refers to the opinion of the general population. Whether or not Putin cares about it or not doesn’t stop it from existing.
  - jimbob45 5y ago
That only works to a limited extent. When you stretch your economy with a war and actively disregard the citizenry, don’t be surprised when you end up like Tsar Nicholas, who also enjoyed absolute power until he didn’t.

Is that the sanction the US and Canada were talking about? what a terrible sanction that is...

anyone seen actual evidence of this yet?
- PairedPrototype 5y ago
Only evidence I've found of this is it's unfortunately fake. I hope PH catches wind of this though and actually does it. And I'm sure if it were true they would have made a public statement about it too, but no such statement appears to exist on their official outlets.
