i've sometimes thought i should accumulate a small stockpile of salt. to paraphrase umberto eco in "the mysterious flame of queen loana" > without salt nothing tastes like nothing seems plausible i could gather enough to share without too much trouble. now i'm thinking of it, msg would be another good one.
