I'm in a similar position. Grew up in Denver and then moved to Portland as an adult. Got married and moved to Charlotte. I don't like east coast living as much as I thought I would. Only benefit right now is that a lot of major cities (NYC, DC, Philly, Atlanta) are pretty close that I can actually drive to them in under a day. We're planning on moving back to the west coast soon.
