- lacker 5y agoThat book is where I first learned about Gödel's incompleteness theorem. Definitely a good book! I spent a while when I first read it trying to understand Gödel numbering, all the stuff where you multiply prime numbers together, 11 stands for (, that sort of thing. It wasn't until far later that I realized all of that was just a mathematician in the 1930's trying to explain how a string of characters could be encoded as a binary number, something that modern computer programmers more or less take for granted.
