Leaked Intel roadmap reveals more efficient chip to beat M1 – but it’s too late
- PragmaticPulp 5y agoApple is not going to switch back to Intel, obviously. But it‘s myopic to claim it’s “too late” for a more efficient chip. Intel CPUs are still going to be everywhere. Macs are a slice of the computer market, but they’re not everything.
- melling 5y agoWe don't want Apple to switch back to Intel, we want brutal competition so consumers win. I'm a huge fan of the iPad, for instance, but I've been waiting a decade for someone to compete with Apple in this space. Apple didn't make large screen iPhones until the competition forced them to. Before that we were told we didn't need large screens.

The iPhone “mini” is still massive and it's probably going away. Hopefully Apple Glasses will save us all from RSI.
