Venture is a better fit for our project, but from the outside we look like we're way too niche to ever have a big market. Great VCs will know that small markets can turn into large markets[1], but we had a very hard time finding good investors in the past. We tried to raise money from traditional institutions and failed, and decided that the best way to proceed was to just focus on our product and carve our own path.
