A tradeoff in what exactly?
- fulafel 5y agoShipping arch / OS / runtime vetsion neutral apps vs implementation simplicity and single file binaries, for one. Also, decoupling of the runtime from the language is huge, and lets us have nice languages like Clojure and Scala on the JVM.
