which particular problem statement in note taking are you referring to? I think its important to exactly pin point this. Recently came across this - https://every.to/superorganizers/the-fall-of-roam https://every.to/superorganizers/the-fall-of-roam .. Had good explanation how Roam which became a massive hit sometime back - this particular has stopped using (assuming here lots of users are going through this)

QT and Gtk are just awful compared to Electron. I did a "shoot-out" of cross platform GUIs a while back and none of them are really better than Electron.

  A very personal approach. Aren't you worried about creating inconsistency? I would be worried about creating notes that would then have to be rewritten to conform to the type of manipulation the program does. I personally journal using Org-roam Dailies. Very simple, it's all just plain Org.

"Noted" is purposefully agnostic to the underlying tools used, and outputs Markdown which is a standard that affords a wide range of available tooling and also can be converted to many other formats with widely-available open-source tools like pandoc.
