- thesuperbigfrog 5y agoHe is not a Google shill as far as I can tell. He is a journalism professor at CUNY: https://www.journalism.cuny.edu/faculty/jeff-jarvis/ https://www.journalism.cuny.edu/faculty/jeff-jarvis/
- jqpabc123 5y agoIt it acts like a shill and sounds like a shill and has a known reason for being a shill --- maybe it's not a shill --- but it certainly meets all the criteria.
- sinyug 5y ago> For many terms, Bing and DuckDuckGo surfaced more untrustworthy websites than Google did, "untrustworthy" according to whom? > when results were compared with website ratings from the Global Disinformation Index, NewsGuard and research published in the journal Science. What if I don't trust these sources just like I don't trust the New York Times? The New York Times doing what it does best: gatekeeping. They are only lashing out because their monopoly on propaganda has been destroyed by independent voices. It is unfortunate that a wonderful resource like DuckDuckGo is falling victim to the paper's authoritarian impulses.
