I agree 100%.
When looking at using a bike for transportation, you'd typically want racks/mounts, lights, fenders, a bell, internal gears, upright geometry, etc.
If you live in an area with a good transportation network, you'll want it to be foldable so you can leverage multi-modal transport options.
