Why is Twitter is supported on HN for refusing to do business with a conservative writer but a web designer is not?
This is pretty much the top comment on HN from 5 years ago:

- smt88 5y ago1. People aren't born conservative. If you want people to do business with you, you can just stop talking about your political views. Gay people can't decide to stop being gay. 2. Twitter doesn't drop conservative writers just for being conservative. There are still literally millions of conservative people on Twitter. Twitter has a line that a conservative or liberal person could cross.
- akvadrako 5y agoSome people can choose to be gay (or straight). Even if you don't agree, given that hypothetical, you should see it doesn't matter if it's a choice or not.

- akvadrako 5y agoConservatives certainly face lots of discrimination in certain areas like acadamia, where many feel the need to hide their views.
