I will be editing this on an on-going basis. To my understanding: 1. Russia declared two regions of a whole country--Ukraine--sovereign. 2. Russia is moving its troops into those regions on the premise that the citizens of these Ukraine regions seek sovereignty. 3. Sovereignty is valid only if other countries recognize it. 4. Russia recognizes these regions as sovereign. 5. All countries who are not Russia--or at least members of NATO--recognize Ukraine. Borrowing from regex, let's refer to the latter group as `NATO+`.
