Facebook Loses 500M Since
- tiernano 5y agoTitle says, 500M, article says 500B... and then in the article is says: > If you somehow earned a million dollars a year, it’d take you five thousand working years to get the amount of money that has leaked out of this company over the past five months. That's 5B... So, I wasn't great at math most of the time, but none of those numbers make sense... A million a year for 5k years is 5B, not 500B or 500M... someone didn't proof read this...
- mtmail 5y agoPlease keep the original title. https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html Here the meaning was changed (500M vs 500B). I see 10 submissions where words were cut making the title unreadable. It's fine to cut titles if they're too long. But changing for example "SpaceX loses 40 satellites to geomagnetic storm a day after launch" to "Elon just lost 40 Starlink satellites to" cuts information and introduces Elon Musk while the article is about SpaceX.
