I'm starting to use this at the moment. I've often felt that coding something from scratch is too labourious for the task, whilst a spreadsheet isn't functional enough to do what I need. I think pyspread hits the sweet spot. I see this as basically adding a user interface for free on what is otherwise the usual numpy / scipy / etc code base. Quite lovely.
