I may be an edge case, but after getting a concussion, all my screens need to be higher refresh rate. 144hz works; my phone is 90Hz and it's borderline. But more importantly they all use DC dimming. Had to sell a laptop with PWM dimming. I suspect others are just sensitive to it (sans concussion) and prefer DC dimming.
