In simple terms, I strongly believe that a larger network / more meaningful relationships (above the noise floor) mean more opportunities and room for learning. Generally, I see this as a 1:1 exchange in time / effort. Being remote just seems to make finding connections way harder, since talking to someone is obviously more meaningful than a LinkedIn cold message or an email. But you're right in that part of my dilemma here is figuring out what I want to do with my time while also optimizing for decent options going forward. Frankly, I'm leaning toward the being away from hoards of people in the woods ;) .
