Hamsters’ Testicles Shrink After Being Infected with Covid, Study Finds
- withinboredom 5y agoAs many men and women have attested over the years: I have big balls. I for one, would welcome this side-effect.
- chiefalchemist 5y agoThe article mentions a couple other "heavy duty" virus that have similar effects, but what about a severe case of the flu? Or some other virus (not Ebola)? When doing battling against a virus wouldn't the body naturally shift resources around? That is, to focus on the matter at hand. In the context of illness, sperm and testosterone feel like low priority. You're not going to fight (testosterone) or procreate (sperm) if you're running a fever, etc. The point is, how typical / atypical is this? Without similar studies of other viruses / diseases it's hard to say. There's no context. No similar data to compare to.
