Rust does have teams for language design, and for the compiler. https://www.rust-lang.org/governance https://www.rust-lang.org/governance
But there has to be some mechanism for overall coordination, and with Rust that's the Core team.
- ncmncm 5y agoC++ has a Directions committee, with exactly zero authority, but immense influence based solely on respect for its members. That is probably a good model to follow, provided you can identify enough people who command such respect.
