We're the same age (31 here). My decision to start my first business at 14 has been both a blessing and a curse - I have over a decade of experience in some foundational languages/technologies, such as Java, SQL, C(++), etc. But it seems my explicit interest in management roles is looked over, as the desire to get that recruiting bonus for a senior dev referral outweighs what is in my (and the company's) best interest.
