He was one of several people who happened to be using Tor on the campus at the time, but that doesn’t mean anything, the person making the threat could have been someone in LA or Moscow or Beijing just looking to cause mischief and having no connection to the school at all. If he had kept his cool he probably would have gotten away with it.
