Nydus – Acceleration Framework for Cloud-Native Distribution
- imeoer 5y agoNydus is an acceleration framework provided by the Dragonfly (CNCF incubating project), it implemented a user-space filesystem to build a high efficient read-only data distribution system for Cloud Native workloads, such as container images, software packages, etc.
- imeoer 5y agoNydus image can be flexibly configured as a FUSE-based user-space filesystem or in-kernel FS with nydus daemon in user-space. KataContainers has integrated Nydus as a native image acceleration solution. Nydus closely cooperates with Linux in-kernel disk filesystem containers' rootfs can directly be set up by EROFS (since Linux kernel v5.16) with lazy pulling capability.
