It won't end for anyone who can stay relevant and adopt to the new tech.
It will end for everyone who is stuck at current tech which will be "past" in the future, both for tooling/tech and most importantly mindset.
For example, React Native and Solidity pays well nowadays. I know they will probably be replaced with something else (in terms of demand, not necessarily an immediate technical successor). If I don't start learning whatever-comes-next-in-my-field, I'd stay in the past, no matter how good I get on React Native or Solidity.
- TeeWEE 5y agoReact Native is dying AFAIK? Its mostly Flutter and ML that's souring?
- can16358p 5y agoDefinitely not dying and doing great. Flutter might be on the rise though I don't believe in long term success of it because: - Opiniated UI, even worse: Designed by Google, maybe personal but I think Google sucks at design and dislike any design coming from them even if I don't know Google created it in a blind test. - From Google who's known for abandoning many projects - React is already solid and very easy learning curve from React to React Native - The obvious one: JS vs Dart. I don't know Dart, it might be a better language than JS, but MANY people already know JS and wouldn't be super comfortable with learning another, less popular language whereas RN is on top of JS(X).
