One more person for your sample: I’m sixty-four, and I have next-to-zero interest in virtual reality. Maybe if I had gotten into playing video games at some point I could see the attraction, but I never did so I don’t. There is one possible use case, though, that I find interesting. For the past two years, I’ve been teaching university classes and taking part in meetings using Zoom. While in general it’s gone okay, an interface that more closely approximates people talking with each other in a room would be nice. I would want that interface to be on a regular computer monitor, though; I don’t want to have to wear goggles. I should also mention that I didn’t understand the point of that Facebook ad until I read the discussion of it here. What a bizarre video.
