I can't stand lined paper. My standard are MUJI blank paper notebooks. They strike the best balance between affordability and quality. I don't use notebooks as much nowadays, though. I tend to have a computer closeby or I've found the iPad + Apple Pencil or a whiteboard surprisingly good for most things.
