Tesla software updates allow quick fixes – and taking risks
- giantg2 5y agoDo you have the option to decline or ignore an update? Frankly, I don't want a connected car. I don't want a massive infotainment screen. I want actual knobs and buttons. I guess one day I won't have much of an option - buy a new car with all sorts of regulatory mandates like autobraking, or (re)build my own. I wish I never sold my 89 caprice.

You'll get nagged on every drive until you give in, and if you get too far out of date, connected services will stop working. For a comparison point, it is more practical than it is on Windows 10, but not by much.
