A lot of countries with tourism industries hire PR agencies to help with promoting their tourism industry. Obviously, the governments paying these agencies want exposure but they don't want the message to be "look how awesome our ancestors were" without tacking on a "oh and we are still awesome too".
- brightball 5y agoOn Maui there is a site called the “7 Sacred Pools”. There are 11 or 12. Nobody considers them sacred. A marketing company came up with it.
