Deleting data in response to a GDPR request is explicitly illegal under the GDPR.
- makeitdouble 5y agoI stand corrected
- exikyut 5y agoOh, that's pretty awesome! Oooooh, I wonder what happens if I signed up for a service and then requested "all current and future data on, about and related to me"... that would mean it couldn't be deleted until I'd been sent a copy. Forward-acting, perpetual motion FOIA machine go brrrt? Yes please lol
- account42 5y agoI don't think the GDPR gives you any right to request future data (you can make another request in the future but that will only cover the data stored at the time of that request) so they can always delete the data after providing it to you - which I think is fair.
